Changes to .TR regulations

BTK, the Information Technologies Authority of Turkey, has announced the launch of a new .TR registration system starting on 14 September 2022. A Registry-Registrar model will be introduced and additionally .COM.TR, .ORG.TR and .NET.TR domains will become unrestricted and open to any applicant, without the need for documents, on a first-come first-served basis.

Com Laude can already take orders to be completed when the new rules are put in place.

Launch of .BOO and .RSVP

Registry operator Charleston Road Registry (Google) has announced the launch of its 2 new gTLDs, .BOO and .RSVP, as follows:

Launch phases open and close at 16:00:00 UTC.

Both .BOO and .RSVP are semi-restricted gTLDs. They are more secure domains, meaning that registrants must obtain an SSL certificate and configure HTTPS serving so that browsers can load .BOO and .RSVP websites. Your Domain Strategist can assist with both the ordering of .BOO and .RSVP domain names and associated SSL certificates.

Domains may be registered for periods from 1 to 10 years and IDN registrations are permitted. The use of privacy and proxy services are acceptable.
