Launch of .MOBILE

Registry operator Dish DBS Corp., has announced the launch of their new gTLD .MOBILE as follows:

This extension is unrestricted and will launch on a first-come, first-served basis during all phases. WHOIS privacy and proxy services will not be permitted during the Sunrise phase.

The Telco Limited Registration Period is to allow applicants in the telecommunications and mobile operator sectors to gain early access to the domain (after Sunrise, but before the Early Access Phase or General Availability). To be eligible to apply in this phase, a participant must:

1. Be a licensed telecommunication operator (mobile, fixed line or internet service provider) with a customer base of at least one million.
2. Enter into an agreement to do a direct marketing campaign to its subscribers via an accredited registrar.
3. Have a dedicated landing page or such promotional SMS, email or phone.

This launch has only just been announced and so we are seeking further information from the Registry operator on some outstanding points, including pricing. Please do reach out to your Domain Strategist to register your interest, and they will be able to answer any additional questions you may have as soon as the information becomes available.

.PT – Addition of Registrant Phone

Number Field to WHOIS

The registry operator for the ccTLD .PT in Portugal, Associação DNS.PT, has announced that from 19 November 2025 and as part of the changes related to the NIS2 Directive, it will publish the Registrant Phone Number for .PT domain names in the WHOIS.

We would like to remind you that the Registrant Phone Number provided to the registry must be accurate – your Domain Strategist will be able to assist you in updating this information if required.
