The registry operator for the ccTLD .DK in Denmark has warned of a phishing scam, which is targeting .DK domain name holders via email warning of a suspended domain. The emails are being sent by a third party posing as the .DK registry and asks registrants to click a ‘pay now’ (Betal nu) link that directs the user to a cloned version of the self-service website. Once there, the user is asked to enter their user ID and password before being redirected to a payment page.
If you have received or receive an email of this nature, do not click on the links contained within it, reply to it or provide any personal identification information or documents to the sender.
You can see the full notice here.
Emails from the registry will always end @punktum.dk. If you are unsure, please send the email to your Domain Strategist for review.
As we previously announced here, 29 new extensions were added to the GlobalBlock on 3 October 2024. These included ccTLD and ccTLD sub-zones, new gTLDs and Web 3.0 extensions, and takes the total number of extensions covered by the block to 608. A representative list of the extensions can be seen on the GlobalBlock website here, or alternatively you can contact your Domain Strategist for further information, pricing and orders.
The registry is currently offering a 10% discount for existing AdultBlock or AdultBlock+ registrants who upgrade to GlobalBlock, and your Domain Strategist will be in touch if you can benefit from this.
