ENS Domain integration for .ART domain names

The registry operator for the TLD .ART, UK Creative Ideas Limited, has announced that ENS (Ethereum Name Service) domain integration via DNS TXT resource record verification is now available with .ART domains. This means that registrants of .ART domains can register their matching name on the ENS network, enabling a domain to be used as a traditional web address and, at the same time, point to wallet addresses, smart contracts, NFTs, IPFS content or any other asset on the Ethereum and other networks including Solana and Polygon.

Only the owner of a DNS .ART domain can register the matching ENS .ART domain and vice versa.

It is also now possible to purchase ENS .ART names that do not match DNS names, such as names including emojis.

.COUNTRY – Price increase

Registry Operator Internet Naming Company LLC has announced a price increase for the TLD .COUNTRY. From 27 September 2023 (16:00 UTC), the pricing for all new standard domains will increase.

However, all standard domains registered before 27 September 2023 (16:00 UTC) will retain their renewal and transfer fees of USD 20, whilst premium domains will continue to renew at their current rate.

Com Laude fees and the ICANN USD 0.18 per domain year levy are additional and VAT will be added where applicable.

Identity Digital to release thousands of previously-reserved domains

Identity Digital has announced that they will be releasing around 50,000 reserved and Platinum domain names to premium (buy it now) price tiers in July 2023.

The bulk of this release is made up of high-quality short (1, 2 and 3-character) domain names across various Identity Digital TLDs and, in particular, short character premium domains on .PRO for the first time.

In addition to the introduction of premium names for .PRO, Identity Digital will be releasing in excess of 100,000 currently reserved domain names for general sale.
