An Open Letter from Nick Wood and Glenn Hayward
25 March 2020
We are confident that we can continue to assist you seamlessly. Our employees in UK, Spain, USA and Japan are well-trained and equipped to work remotely, without compromising the security or quality of our service. In accordance with our Business Continuity plan, every team member has first-class connectivity so that they can communicate with you just as effectively as when they are in the office. This plan has been developed and tested over several years to ensure its robustness.
Of course, we are monitoring around the clock for any issues. We have noticed an increase in phishing emails but otherwise our experts continue to manage domain name portfolios, to tackle infringement in the domain name system and to advise on dot brand registry management just as they were doing previously.
Although our local agents in place are all providing ‘business as usual’ service at the moment we have noticed that some of the smaller registries are a little slower to respond than usual. In line with our continuity plans, we have alternative agents everywhere we need them, and we stand ready to advise you on alternative naming strategies if a registry suffers interruption. If we need to alter our approach in response to changing circumstances, we are prepared.
We believe our strong processes and controls, together with the dedication of our hardworking teams, will help us to help you during this difficult period of disruption.
Please contact your client manager or reach out to us directly if you think there’s more that we can do.
Should you need exceptional outsource support for example with a business critical domain, we are here for you.
We will let you know when we are able to return to our offices, and in the meantime we send our sincere good wishes to you and your loved ones.
Nick Wood, Executive Chairman
& Glenn Hayward, CEO
