Should you wish to register .ong names with us or transfer .ong names to our management, the Registry Operator, Public Interest Registry (“PIR”), imposes certain conditions. As set out in our Terms and Conditions, by placing an order with us you unconditionally agree to be bound by these conditions as follows: (in the paragraphs below, “Registered Name Holder” means the registrant of a .ong domain name).

You, as Registered Name Holder, agree to and acknowledge the .ong registry’s policies including  the

• Anti-Abuse Policy found at Anti-Abuse Policy – PIR
• Reserved Names Policy at Reserved Names Policy – PIR and
• .ngo and .ong Registration Policy at  .NGO and .ONG Registration Policy – PIR.

You warrant that you meet the Registrant Eligibility Requirements for .ong domain names set out in .NGO and .ONG Registration Policy – PIR.

Note that

• PIR has determined that organizations formed under the laws of the People’s Republic of China (or any territory thereof) do not meet the criteria “Limited Government Influence” and “Independent Actors.” Accordingly, prospective registrants from China and its territories should not register .NGO and .ONG as they will not meet PIR’s Eligibility Requirements. In the event PIR discovers that a .NGO or .ONG domain name is registered by an organization organized under the laws of the People’s Republic of China (or any territory thereof), PIR will delete the domain name for failing to meet our Eligibility Requirements.
• PIR is a U.S. company subject to U.S. laws.  By applying to register you certify that neither  you nor any of your subsidiaries or, to your knowledge, any director, officer, or employee of you or any of your subsidiaries is a person who (a) is the target of any laws administered by the United States Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) or any other United States governmental entity imposing economic sanctions and trade embargoes, or (b) is located, organized or resident in a country or territory that is, or whose government is, the target of sanctions imposed by OFAC or any other United States governmental entity. You understand and agree that PIR does not permit registrations from registrants residing in or organized under any such country in the .NGO and .ONG TLDs. In the event PIR discovers that any .NGO or .ONG domain name is registered by a registrant that would not be permitted by any OFAC restrictions (or other restrictions imposed by U.S. law), PIR will delete the domain name.

You, as Registered Name Holder, agree to:

• Indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PIR and its subcontractors, and the directors, officers, employees, affiliates, and agents of each of them, from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees and expenses, arising out of or relating to your domain name registration. This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination or expiration of the registration agreement;
• Comply with each of the following requirements: ICANN standards, policies, procedures, and practices for which Registrar or PIR has in accordance with the Registry Agreement, the Registrar Accreditation Agreement, or other arrangement with ICANN; and operational standards, policies, procedures, and practices for PIR TLDs established from time to time by PIR in a non-arbitrary manner and applicable to all registrars, including any applicable affiliate(s) or contractor(s) of PIR, and consistent with ICANN’s standards, policies, procedures, and practices and PIR’s relevant Registry Agreements with ICANN. Additional or revised PIR operational standards, policies, procedures, and practices for PIR TLDs shall be effective upon thirty (30) days’ notice by PIR to Registrar. If there is a discrepancy between the terms required by this Agreement and the terms of the Registrar’s registration agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall supersede those of the Registrar’s registration agreement;
• Consent to the use, copying, distribution, publication, transfer, modification, and other processing of Registered Name Holder’s Personal Data by PIR and its designees and agents in a manner consistent with the purposes specified pursuant to PIR’s RRA Data Processing Addendum;

• Submit to proceedings commenced under ICANN’s Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (“UDRP”);
• Submit to proceedings commenced under ICANN’s Uniform Rapid Suspension (“URS”) process;
• Immediately correct and update the registered information for the Registered Name during the registration term for the Registered Name;
• Agree to be bound by any TLD-specific terms, as set out below:
• Agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the initial launch of the Registry TLD, including without limitation the sunrise period and the land rush period, and the Sunrise Dispute Resolution Policy, and further to acknowledge that PIR has no liability of any kind for any loss or liability resulting from the proceedings and processes relating to the sunrise period or the land rush period, including without limitation: (a) the ability or inability of a registrant to obtain a Registered Name during these periods, and (b) the results of any dispute over a sunrise registration;
• Agree not to distribute malware, abusively operate botnets, phishing, piracy, trademark, or copyright infringement, fraudulent or deceptive practices, counterfeiting, or otherwise engaging in activity contrary to PIR’s Anti-Abuse Policy, or other PIR Policies applicable to the particular PIR TLD, or applicable law; and
• Acknowledge and agree that PIR reserves the right to deny, cancel or transfer any registration or transaction, or place any domain name(s) on registry lock, hold or similar status, that it deems necessary, in its discretion; (1) to protect the integrity and stability of the Registry Database or the Registry System; (2) to comply with any applicable laws, government rules or requirements, requests of law enforcement, or any dispute resolution process; (3) to avoid any liability, civil or criminal, on the part of PIR, as well as its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, and employees; (4) per the terms of the registration agreement (5) pursuant to PIR’s Anti-Abuse Policy or other PIR policies applicable to the relevant TLD; or (6) to correct mistakes made by PIR or any Registrar in connection with a Registered Name. PIR also reserves the right to place upon registry lock, hold, or similar status a domain name during resolution of a dispute.
