Registries

.my Malaysia

Should you wish to register .my names with us or transfer .my names to our management,  MYNIC, an agency of the Government of Malaysia which is the Registry for the top-level domain .my, imposes certain conditions. As set out in our Terms and Conditions, by placing an order with us you unconditionally agree to be bound by these conditions, any Registrant Agreement and/or Domain Name Licence with the .my Domain Authority. You agree and acknowledge the .my registry policies and conditions as set out below and updated from time to time.

  • The registration of domain names under the top level domain .my is regulated by the MYNIC policies found here Resources – MYNIC. You agree to comply with these policies (including the Registrant Agreement) at that link. Please note in particular the
  • Registrant Agreement
  • Acceptable Use & Abuse Policy,
  • Numbering and Electronic Addressing Plan (NEAP), and
  • MYNIC’s Data Protection Policy.

The policies and the Registrant Agreement stipulate, amongst other things, the operational model for administration of domain names, responsibilities and obligations, as well as the form and content of the domain name.

On your request, Com Laude will register the domain name in the domain name registry system administered by MYNIC, update the domain name, renew the validity of the domain name, change the domain name registrar, transfer the domain name to another holder or remove the domain name from the domain name register.

You agree to provide accurate registration information for the registered name (including e-mail address confirmed by return e-mail or other method), and immediately correct and update the registration information for the registered name during the registration term for the registered name. We must verify eligibility criteria for domain names and authenticity of Registrant information during domain registration and change of Registrant processes. We must also carry out random checks on the accuracy of information provided in domain name registration from time to time and when requested by MYNIC. This is to ensure you can be identified and are contactable. We must also send you a yearly reminder to update the domain name data for WHOIS (or the replacement for WHOIS).

We must provide you with:

  • Information on the domain name form, content and legality, and
  • Notification if we terminate our operations or are prohibited from operating .my domain names and inform you of any consequential new arrangements.

We must clearly and conspicuously inform you of, and acquire your consent to, the initial and renewal price of domain names.

Before registering a domain name, note the permitted characters for a domain name set out in the Numbering and Electronic Addressing Plan (NEAP) at this link Resources – MYNIC.

If you wish to transfer your domain name to another holder, you must request the transfer from us. If you wish to switch domain name registrars, you must either

  • request the new registrar to obtain a registrar transfer key from us; or
  • request the registrar transfer key to be released from us in person and submit it to the new registrar.

You must make the request to switch domain name registrars in writing.

We use a registrar third party supplier, Web Commerce Communications Ltd, for some .my domain name registrations (including .com.my and .net.my domain names). There are certain conditions of that company which you as registrant must agree to. As set out in our Terms and Conditions, by placing an order through us you unconditionally agree to be bound by these conditions.
