Should you wish to register .LAT names with us or transfer .LAT names to our management, Federación de Latinoamérica y el Caribe para Internet y el Comercio Electrónico (ECOMLAC) (the “Registry Operator”) imposes certain conditions. As set out in our Terms and Conditions (the “Registration Agreement”), by placing an order with us you unconditionally agree to be bound by these conditions as follows:

  1. Registrant agrees to abide by the .LAT registry policies.
  2. Registrant agrees to provide accurate contact information as well as comply with all applicable rules and laws including those that relate to privacy, data collection, consumer protection, import/export of services and disclosure of data.
  3. Registrant shall not engage in distributing malware, abusively operating botnets, phishing, piracy, trademark or copyright infringement, fraudulent or deceptive practices, counterfeiting or otherwise engaging in activity contrary to applicable law.
  4. Registrant acknowledges and agrees that Registry Operator reserves the right to deny, cancel or transfer any registration or transaction, or place any domain name(s) on registry lock, hold, suspension or similar status, that it deems necessary, in its discretion: (i) to protect the integrity and stability of the registry; (ii) to comply with any applicable laws, government rules or requirements, requests of law enforcement, or any dispute resolution process; (iii) to comply with any applicable Registry Policies and ICANN rules or regulations, including without limitation, the Registry Agreement; (iv) to avoid any liability, civil or criminal, on the part of Registry Operator, as well as its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, and employees; (v) per the terms of Com Laude’s Terms and Conditions; (vi) following an occurrence of distribution of malware, abusive operation of botnets, phishing, piracy, trademark or copyright infringement, fraudulent or deceptive practices, counterfeiting or otherwise engaging in activities contrary to applicable law; or (vii) to correct mistakes made by Registry Operator or any Registrar in connection with a domain name registration.
  1. Registrant agrees to (within thirty (30) days of demand) indemnify, defend and hold harmless .LAT registry and its Registry Operator, Registrar and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries, as well as each of their respective owners, directors, managers, officers, employees, contractors, service providers and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees and expenses (including on appeal), arising out of or relating in any way to the Registrant’s domain name registration, including, without limitation, the use, registration, extension, renewal, deletion, and/or transfer thereof and/or the violation of any applicable terms or conditions governing the registration. Registrant shall not enter into any settlement or compromise of any such indemnifiable claim without Registrar’s or Registry’s prior written consent, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld and that this indemnification obligation shall survive the termination or expiration of the Registration Agreement for any reason.

Registry Operator imposes the following obligations upon resellers:

Reseller shall comply with all of the terms and conditions of this Registry-Registrar agreement and all of Registrar’s covenants, obligations, representations and warranties as set forth in this Registry-Registrar agreement.
