Should you wish to register .insurance names with us or transfer .insurance names to our management, the Registry Operator, fTLD Registry Services, LLC, imposes certain conditions. As set out in our Terms and Conditions, by placing an order with us you unconditionally agree to be bound by these conditions as follows:

  1. Registry Operator reserves the right to deny, cancel or transfer any Registered Name registration or transaction, or place any Registered Name (s) on registry lock, hold or similar status, as it deems necessary, in its unlimited and sole discretion: (i) to comply with specifications adopted by any industry group generally recognized as authoritative with respect to the Internet (e.g., RFCs), (ii) to correct mistakes made by Registry Operator, Registry Service Provider, Registry Verification Agent, Registrar and/or any other contractually obligated vendors in connection with a domain name registration, or (iii) for the non-payment of Fees to Registry Operator.
  2. Registered Name Holder consents to the collection and use by the Registry Operator of Personal Data (ie data about any identified or identifiable natural person.
  3. Registered Name Holder is prohibited from distributing malware, abusively operating botnets, phishing, piracy, trademark or copyright infringement, fraudulent or deceptive practices, counterfeiting or otherwise engaging in activity contrary to applicable law. Registrar may take appropriate and lawful steps in the case of breach of this clause, including suspension of the relevant domain name(s).
  4. Registered Name Holder agrees that if there is any dispute concerning the time of the entry of a Registered Name registration into the Registry System, the timestamp shown in the Registry System records shall control.
  5. Registered Name Holder will comply with Registry Operator’s policies and procedures, as they may be instituted or updated from time-to-time and published on the Registry Operator’s website at https://www.ftld.com/policies, including but not limited to:
    1. Registry Operator’s Security Requirements
    2. Acceptable Use / Anti-Abuse Policy
    3. Name Allocation Policy
    4. Name Selection Policy
    5. Privacy Policy
    6. Registrant Eligibility Policy
    7. Registrant Eligibility Dispute Resolution Policy
    8. Reserved Names Challenge Policy
    9. Sunrise Dispute Resolution Policy
    10. Whois Access Policy
  6. Registered Name Holder agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Registry Operator, Registry Service Provider, Registry Verification Agent, and other contractually obligated vendors, and in each case, their Affiliates, partners, subcontractors, subsidiaries, divisions, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, accountants, attorneys, insurers, agents, predecessors, successors, and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, expenses, causes of action, or other liabilities of any kind, whether known or unknown, including reasonable legal and attorney’s fees and expenses, in any way arising out of, relating to, or otherwise in connection with, the Registered Name Holder’s domain name registration. This obligation shall survive the termination or expiration of Registrar’s Terms and Conditions.
  7. Registered Name Holder agrees to provide to Registry Operator its full and accurate contact data. Failure to provide complete and accurate data (e.g., temporary, fictitious, alias) will result in Registered Name Holder’s Registration being considered invalid and rejected by the Registry Operator without notice to the Registrar.
  8. Registered Name Holder shall comply with each of the following requirements:
    1. ICANN standards, policies, procedures, and practices for which Registry Operator has monitoring responsibility in accordance with the Registry Agreement or other arrangement with ICANN.
    2. Registry Operator’s Operational Requirements, including those set forth on Registry Operator’s website at https://www.ftld.com/resources, https://www.ftld.com/faq-registrar, https://www.ftld.com/faq-dotbank and https://www.ftld.com/faq-dotinsurance
    3. All applicable requirements and policies posted on Registry Operator’s website at https://www.ftld.com/policies.
    4. All applicable national, state or local law, regulation or court order in relation to its operations and registrations of the Registry TLD.
    5. Registry Operator’s Security Requirements as set forth on the Registry Operator’s website at https://www.ftld.com/security
    6. Registered Name Holder may not use privacy or proxy registration services in registering or maintaining domain name registrations with .INSURANCE, as provided in Registry Operator’s Security Requirements available at: https://www.ftld.com/enhanced-security
    7. Registered Name Holder shall take all necessary action(s) as directed by Registrar or Registry Operator in relation to compliance actions, directives, or instructions from ICANN, and/or as otherwise directed by Registry Operator in its sole discretion as being reasonably necessary for the provision of Registry Services, and enforcing compliance with Registry Operator’s Operational and Security Requirements and Operations Pledge, including monitoring for compliance regarding the Registered Name.

Registry Operator may offer premium domain names that are subject to non-standard registration and renewal fees. Please ask Com Laude about pricing for these domain names.

Registry Operator imposes the following obligations upon resellers:

  1. Reseller shall comply with all of the terms and conditions of this Registry-Registrar agreement and all of Registrar’s covenants, obligations, representations and warranties as set forth in this Registry-Registrar agreement.
  2. Reseller shall comply with Registry Operator’s policies and procedures, as they may be instituted or updated from time to time and published on the Registry Operator’s website at https://www.ftld.com/policies.
  3. Reseller agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Registry Operator, Registry Operator’s back-end registry service provider, Registry Operator’s registry verification agent, and other contractually obliged vendors of Registry Operator, and in each case their affiliates, partners, subcontractors, subsidiaries, divisions, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, accountants, attorneys, insurers, agents, predecessors, successors, and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, expenses, causes of action, or other liabilities of any kind, whether known or unknown, including reasonable legal and attorney’s fees and expenses, in any way arising out of, relating to, or otherwise in connection with, the Reseller’s domain name registration. This obligation shall survive the termination or expiration of Registrar’s Terms and Conditions.

GoDaddy Registry’s Domain Name Locking Service

GoDaddy’s Registry Lock prevents changes to delegations at the registry level. Registry Lock may not be modified or removed from a Locked Domain Name absent the express written instruction from the relevant Registrar through processes set by Registry Services, LLC (RS LLC).

RS LLC’s terms and conditions require that Com Laude receive your consent in order to place locks on a domain name, or to modify or remove locks on locked domain names. RS LLC disclaims liability for the addition, modification or removal of any locked domain names absent specific instructions from the Registrar.

Under RS LLC’s terms and conditions, RS LLC must use commercially reasonable efforts to place Registry Lock on all proposed Domains submitted by Registrar no later than: (i) two (2) business days after RS LLC’s receipt of Registrar’s initial batch of proposed Locked Domain Names, and (ii) one business day after RS LLC’s receipt of proposed locked Domain Names from Registrar after the initial batch. In addition, RS LLC must use commercially reasonable efforts to modify or remove the lock from each Locked Domain Name by no later than one (1) business day following receipt of written instructions from the Registrar.

In addition to the reservation of rights set forth in the Registry-Registrar Agreement between Nom-IQ Limited trading as Com Laude, an ICANN-accredited registrar, and the registry operator of the .INSURANCE TLD, RS LLC reserves the right to add, deny, cancel or modify any lock that it deems necessary, in its discretion; (1) to protect the integrity and stability of the registry; (2) to prevent or mitigate phishing, pharming, malware, or other fraudulent, illegal or otherwise abusive purpose, in RS LLC’s sole discretion, (3) to comply with any applicable laws, government rules or requirements, requests of law enforcement, in compliance with any dispute resolution process; (4) to avoid any liability, civil or criminal, on the part of RS LLC, as well as its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, representatives, employees, and stockholders; (4) for violations of the Registry-Registrar Agreement or the Registry Lock™ Protocol; or (5) to correct mistakes made by Registry or Registrar.

RS LLC reserves the right to modify materially or discontinue the Registry Lock service upon sixty (60) days prior written notice to Registrars. Upgrades and enhancements to the Registry Lock service may be performed without notice to a Registrar. RS LLC has sole discretion to determine whether any change to the Registry Lock service is a material change which requires notice.
