The .GE Registry for Georgia, Caucasus Online LLC, has announced a change to its domain name regulations. The new rules are coming into effect on April 15, 2018.

The main change is that the requirement to have a local physical presence will be removed. Therefore an entity located outside Georgia will be able to register a domain name without the need for a local presence.  Another important change is that it will be possible to transfer domains from one registrant to another without having to delete and re-register the domain. Furthermore, domain name disputes can now be handled through a WIPO DRP as well as through the Georgian court.
