ICANN 67 Virtual Meeting: What to expect from the Community Forum

The ICANN67 meeting, which was scheduled to be held in Cancun, Mexico, from 7 – 12 March 2020, has been converted to a remote-only meeting.

This will be the first ICANN meeting to be operated only through remote participation, so it represents something of an experiment. One of the consequences of this change is that the planned agenda has been adjusted to make it more manageable as a remote event

Some of the key sessions and issues under discussion during the Community Forum include:

  • Future New gTLD Releases: SubPro PDP
  • Domain Name Registrant Data: EPDP Phase 2
  • Rights Protection Mechanisms Phase 1
  • Universal Acceptance
  • Reviews and Prioritisation

As usual, the Valideus team will be covering the sessions for our clients.  If you have any questions, get in touch: experts@valideus.com
